That auto installer will save you lots of time and trouble.  Which dash version and kernal version do you have btw?

how do i identify the kernal and dash easily?

can i copy contents of one drive to another to restore?

Just go to your MS dash, than settings than system info.  Let it scroll down until the bottom and it'll tell you your Kernal and Dash version.

on the modde boxes i can no longer boot to becasue I foolishly didnt either:

Lock HD back
or installed incorrectly I cant get the original Dash.

I will try the UD upgrade.  

second question.. i bouht the action replay and I had no problem getting to evox but when I go to install, it only takes a second which leads me to believe it didnt install even though it says it did.  I heard some of the replay cards are buggy but i can save to card with no problem, what do you guys make of that?  is it a problem with 007 (plat hits version) or the replay card?  I bought an official MS memory card today and original 007 game.  is this paranoia or does getting to evox mean that I was fine with my replay card and plat hits 007 game?

What do you mean "install EvoX"?  Just get EvoX 3935 from the usual places.  Unrar it than transfer the files on to your C:\.

i didnt realize that i had to put a disc in the drive.  i thought it would install from the game save file (oo7 file).

first of all Blazin Kahn..you are the man.. good looks on all the help .. im past that point and now stuck in a dif area..but thanks a mil..


I am trying to figure out how to get the UDE autoinstaller to work.

argggh

i know have 2 xboxs with error 21, error 5/6

one new unmodded xbox

one chip modded that works fine and that i have been using to swap out the HDs of the bad ones to see if I can run autoinstallers etc (softmods) with the intent of returning them to their rightful xbox.  

if someone said .. "hey .. i will restore them all for you for a small fee.. i would be so excited."  hint hint


but for now .. im pulling my hair out one patch at a time.
