for now i'm just trying to launch EvoX with this exploit, and after that i would like to install PBL and EvoX on E: by myself, step by step (i prefer because it's better to understand what i do and how the hack works...)
unfortunately i don't have a ftp adress where you can upload your savegame, but i give you my mail so if the file is less than 5Mo it will pass without problem : [email protected]
do you have only the savegame with Evox please ? i'm interested because perhaps savegames i found on the net were only for NTSC xbox... so i want to try yours ! i ask myself a question too : you said the name of EvoX in your save is evoxdash.xbe, but that's for the exploit when you boot PBL before calling Evox... in simple savegames to launch EvoX, its name is default.xbe, correct ?

I got the Error 21 using an interactive memcard, bought a Ms memcard and the 007 savegame from Gouki tutorial worked the 1st time I tried it.
Evox came up and I could ftp in to the Xbox.
But trying to integrate the Phoenix bios in the savegame is a total failure....

sadly i don't know how to help the original poster, but in response to this quote, just run evo-x the way you are now, and get a copy of the complete signed phoenix bios loader, and follow the installation instruction's and install it by ftp'ing it to your xbox through evo-x.

2) bought a thrustmaster cheap as chips memory card and everything now works fine.
3) to transfer the save to the xbox hdd.
3.1)firstly save the required gamesave onto the memory card with the AR software.
3.2) Start the Xbox without any sort of cd in the tray.
3.3) go to memory on xbox dash
3.4) choose your memory card (takes acouple of seconds to read info.
3.5) go dow to the games save ie 007 or mechassault and then press Right to highlight the smaller of the 2 icons.
3.6) press A, highlight COPY, Press A it should now change to the xbox hdd Press A again and it will copy the game save on to your xbox hdd.
hope the above is a good explanation for transferring the gamesave from memcard to hdd.

but nice explanation by the way
so your advice is that my AR card is faulty... well i think i've tried everything possible with this exploit and always the same result
so tomorrow i will buy a MS memory card to be sure...but if the AR memory card is buggy, why after tranfer seems the savegame OK on the xbox HD ??

i know of a good couple of peaple who have used the AR with no problem sounds like they might be right it could be faulty.

Please post your results with the MS mem card. I have tried two xbox systems and keep getting that stupid error 21 after I load the saved game from the HD with AUF.
I'm now suspecting it is my mem card (bought from ebay; generic mem card) but still not sure.
Anyway, I'm curious if this will work for you.

My PC was not connected and I have not changed the network config. I used a modded controller/usb cable to transfer the gamesave with AR.

AR isn't faulty for that ! in fact there are 2 possibilities : MS modified the recent kernels to make the hack unoperative, or the old EvoX version with the gamesaves on the net aren't compatible with the new xboxes (v1.3 and after)

but i use MS card also have Error 21 ( my X-box is 1.4)
the save test on 1.1-1.2 can work in 1.3 some can
