I just learned of the mechassault version of this exploit and would like to try it since i don't have to buy auf now and have a couple of questions. If i copy the files to my xbox to do this exploit will i get banned from xbox live when i try to use it? If so, is it possible to run everything from the dvd i recorded and play from there, in other words run my emulators from the dvd, and not get banned. Thanx for any help u can give.

Sadly, it will get you detected by Xbox live and even if it didnt (but it does) they could then easily patch it to not work anymore. So if you have plans on playing online, dont do the exploit, if going online doesnt mean a big deal to you, exploit away!
If you really want to run backups and play on xboxlive, get a mod and a switch.

Hey, thanks for the info. Since i will be getting another xbox in a month or two, is there a way to revert the hdd back to a xbox live safe state? I was thinking of making a backup of the hdd as early as possible in the steps of the exploit, are there any files written to the drive that i might not know about during the install?
