Title: Xecuter 2 - 5305 Bios
Post by: Schmoozer on November 12, 2006, 03:55:00 PM
Just wondering if it's safe to flash my 1.0 Xbox with a Xecuter 2 - 5035 BIOS that has been resized from 512kb to 1MB.

Thanks,
-Schmoozer biggrin.gif

EDIT: Sorry for mistyping 5035* in Topic Title!

Mrcartman I apreciate your effort to help but a flash disc is not what I'm talking about. I'm asking if the BIOS I flash onto the TSOP of my Xbox v1.0 can be converted from a 512kb BIOS image to a 1Mb BIOS image....

Could anyone else answer this question? Also this would be on a winbond TSOP chip. Should I use the other BIOS's from Xecuter?

Thanks,

i'm going to be an asshole for a second here. How do you miss all the info given on the internet, not to mention the entire xbox-scene domain, and not figure out the answer for yourself? win: copy /b 512+512 1024.bin nix: cat 512 512 > 1024.bin.

srry about me missing all the info but i was up late at 3 in the morning modding my xbox. and yes you can resize this bios to 1mb(tested myself) use XBtool(nice gui) and then flash it.

I'm fairly certain XBTool only works up to the X2 4981 bios, unless there's a newer version than 1.0.23a

XBTool can only EDIT bios' up to X2 4981, but there is 1 tool in XBtool that works with any bios. It's called "Size".

Evox does a good job.. when in doubt, flash a 256k bios with Evox & all should be well.
