Well, before you start tinkering with the TSOP, make sure your hard drive is locked.  If it's unlocked, it wouldn't load the MS BIOS.

Any help would be much appreiciated... I just want to be able to boot to ms dash, but xbox flashing red and green with no video.

I know there is a way to do it without opening the xbox...help

What bios do I flash my XBOX with?? I have a 1.0 XBOX

The bios checker says

                            Bios     - Unknown
                            Kernel  - 1.00 4973 01
                            XBOX HD INFo 0000000003

I assuming that the bios checker cant read what type bios there isl..but can tell what is actually running (my excuter chip)

When I flash do I flash for all the bios versions..since Im again assuming that I have a 1mb bios.


Again any help would be appreciated greatly

well first off, x2 4973 isnt your chip, its your bios

 

from the sounds of it you probably have an older x2 lite chip

 

if you are just trying to load the MS dash you can do that from your hacked dashbaord (select MS dash or use boxplorer to go to C/xboxdash.xbe)

 

if you want Live youd be better off putting a retail bios (4034 in your case) on a bank of your chip than trying to mess with your TSOP

This is the problem when I try to load MS dash from hacked I get the FRAG and no video. I want to fix it so I can boot from MS dash without it fragging. I had to put the orginal HD back in just so I can boot evolution. Now I can ftp, play game etc....but the drive is small and its the orignal....I had a 120 gig in but i screwed up the installation of XBMC (while trying to make it my default dash)...and I thought it would be cool...until it rebooted and started the FRAG and no video. I took the 120g out and put the original back.

Im trying to find a fix..short of opening up the box or sending out.
