Ok I think I know how to flash it now and get the save on the hdd and unlock the tsop by jumping the points and all that. Here is what else I would like to do though. I would like to make it so I can play live. In order to do this I need to split the tsop 2 ways. I have a 1.0v so this can be done correct? I have seen the diagram in your sig. So if I split the tsop then I would have two banks of 512mb, correct? Therefore I need to make my choice of bios a 512 bios using xbtool, Correct? Also I would like an oringal bios on the tsop so that I can play live. I do need this, right. Can i backup my original bios from the tsop and resize them? probably not but thought I would ask. Is there a 512 M$ bios out there? Basically how would I go about putting bios on the other half of my tsop that would allow me to be on live? Thanks
ok so i install the switch and does it matter which way the switch is turned when i flash my hacked bios (x2). Evox will resize the bios for me to the correct size? When I do this will it leave the oringinal M$ bios on the other bank of the tsop?

Well I know that one side will have the x2 bios running and one will have the original bios. But does it matter initially which way the switch is when I flash. Does it matter what side i flash with the hacked bios.
Also you said that my unmodded hdd is locked to that specific xbox. So i can't put it in my modded xbox with the xenium chip and then then insert my evox boot disc and ftp my save.

Well it is solderless, but the lpc ports are filled with solder so that would really work and it's a pain in the ass to take my box apart. Here is a pic of it.
Front top view
Inside of top
There are about that many more wires underneath the trays in the xbox. There is somewhere between 250 and 300 ft or wire in the xbox all together.
well solder itn eh LPC isnt a problem, yo umight have the hold the chip down while you boot, but since you really only need to boot once its not a big deal
but yeah, i wouldnt want to take thet beast apart either
id suggest just getting a memory card

ya I'm going to purchase a geniune MS xbox one off of ebay for like 15-20 brand new sealed.
Will an original geniune MS 8mb memory unit work for the exploit or would you recommend the madcatz. Thanks

Have you actually done a tsop flash by splitting it two way and using evox.
Yuppers.
and did it work on the first try? Also to play live did you just load the original bios with the original hdd? Do you have any advice from experience. Anything I should be careful of or anything basically. Thanks... I just ordered my memory card to get the file on my hdd.

Thanks for all the help I am just waiting for my memory card to get here. I ordered an original xbox one. Here is the link I bought it off of ebay and it's from what seems to be a very trusted seller if you look at his feedback and what not. What do you guys think on the card he's selling here. Do you think it's good and as stated or no.

If I had a two way split and an x2 bios on one side and the normal bios on the second side and I boot up with the x2 bios would anything happen if I were to flip the switch over to the oringinal bios after the xbox was powered up completely.

I'm going to ftp my MA exploit over to my modded xbox. Do I have to have xbsm in order to do this or can i just put it in the respective e:/ folder if so what would be the name of that folder that I put the save in. Thanks
you can just FTP the save to udata
I have a quick questions. I'm pretty sure on the answer but just want to double check and make sure. I had someone that was by radioshack and I had them pick up the parts for me and I was talking to the manager and I told him the exact part number of what I wanted for the spdt switch. He still couldn't manage to get me the right part. I get the part and it's a different part number. He got me a dpdt switch. Is it ok that I use the dpdt switch but only use one pole. there is nothing hooked up to the second pull so I thought it would work. Just want to make sure. Thanks for all the help. I soldered all the points today and installed the switch and now i'm waiting for my memory card to come in the mail. Tomorrow i'm going to ftp the save to my modded box and have everything ready so it will be quick once i get the card. Thanks again for the help. Wouldn't have been able to do it otherwise. I would have wasted a bunch of money on another chip.
That DPDT switch should be fine, if you're only using one side of it.
DPDT will work fine, its actually what i have in mine
thanks.... I will post my flashing results when I get my chip. Not that you really care or anything but i'll let ya know what happens. I should have my memory card fri or sat.
Oh ya I do have a couple of questions after ftping the save to my modded hdd. First off does it matter if my modded hdd has other MA saves on it? When I was asked to overwrite anything in that folder I just said overwrite all. Also does it matter if their are any MA saves on the xbox that I'm going to flash? Also when the save is loaded it should say Run Linux in MA under campaign. Is this correct? Thanks

i usually make sure the exploit is the only save on the xbox
and yes the it should say run linux in MS
so if I want to delete all of the other MA saves on my xbox would it be sufficient to go into the ms dash and delete all of the other profiles and then ftp the exploit onto my xbox. thanks
just delete the entire folder, go to memory scroll down to MA and just hit A (without hitting right) the only option should be delete
ok thanks.... My freaking memory card never came today in the mail so I guess monday or tuesday and if not then I'm emailing some people. LOL
Thanks Lordvader for all the help. I got my memory card in the mail today and I successfully did a 2 way tsop flash on my xbox. I have a couple of questions though. If I use my stock hdd and I flip the switch to original M$ bios am I safe to use live. I have not done anything to my stock hdd except for add the MA game exploit to Udata. Also I have another question which doesn't relate to this but do all live games come with a free 2 month xbox live trial.
you are safe to use Live with the switch on the MS bios (provided you booted with it that way, not flipped it over while playing a backup, lol)
if you have not been on Live before you can even upgrade your HD before signing up and still be fine
any files you keep on the HD are ok too, as long as they arent mods hacks or cheats for the game you are currently playing on Live
no, not all Live games come with a trial i dont think, they put them in new and popular ones
Ok well i bought this xbox from a friend that previously had xbox live and used this xbox with it. I would create my own account. So before I sign up for my xbox live I can upgrade the hdd. Should I copy the files from the original hdd in c:/ and e:/ and put them in the respective spots of the upgraded hdd. I have the hdd up and running but it is using different files from another xbox. Don't know which one cause I bought it off of ebay and I have to reformat it because someone did it wrong. I didn't know I could boot up an upgraded hdd from original M$ bios. Does it have to be locked?
well since your riend used Live its likely his HD an deeprom are married, meaning you cnat change HDs and go on Live unless you buy a new eeprom too
I don't know too much about this but I'll give some more info. The hd he used was the original seagate that came with the xbox and it was unmodded. The xbox was normal at the time he used it. Can I just copy the contents of the original seagate to my new hdd and then make my new account that I have never used or signed up for.
If I cannot do this I have another idea. I have an xbox that will most likely never go on xbox live so can't I take the eeprom from there (has never been on live) and put it on my newly modded xbox.
If at all possible I would like to keep the eeprom in my other xbox but if there is absolutely no way around it then I will take the eeprom. Thanks again for all the help.
Also where can I purchase an eeprom and how much would it cost? Is installing the new eeprom easy? What does it involve? Thanks again
youll have to take the eeprom from the other box, theres no way to change HDs on the other xbox without getting banned
if the xboxes are different versions make sure you convert the eeprom to match the version
you can get another eeprom from a guy named zodiak in b/s/t, i think he asks 10 dollars for them
installing is easy, just use config magic to flash it
Ok so I think I will just purchase one. Does he sell them for different versions or do I have to change them? Also how does he get all of these eeproms? The only reason I don't want to take the one out of the xbox I have now is because there is a slight chance I may flash the tsop in it and take out the chip. I like the tsop flash. You have converted me from the chips.
Ok so I'm going to purchase an eeprom from zodiiak. I already emailed him for in invoice for it. Anyways I can do some stuff to my existing hdd in the mean time. I need to reformat the whole hdd and get it setup and ready but I have a couple of questions. I have setup an hdd of my own before. I have an evox boot cd with a format option that I want on it and then I can ftp into the xbox and put the files I would like onto the hdd. Does it matter if I format the hdd in a different xbox than the one that I want to play live in. Also should I copy all the files from c:/ and e:/ from the original hdd that was in the xbox that I want to play live on and put those files on c:/ and e:/. After I do this does it matter where I put other files on the hdd. Can I get banned for having files on my hdd where they shouldn't be?
the only files you need off the old HD are from E: and thats only if you want to keep the gamesaves and soundtracks, if you do not care about those you dont need any files
Live does not scan for any misplaced files, they only check for hacked saves profiles and content for a game you are currently playing on Live (IE if you have hacked halo2 profiles you will get banned for playing halo2 with them, but if you only play forza you cna have whatever halo2 junk you want)
ok well i took a part my modded xbox to get the sammy i needed to read my evox boot disc on my other xbox. I then backed up c:/ and e:/ from the original hdd of my tsop xbox that I just did. I then put my 200 gig hdd into that box and put in my evox format cd and formatted the hdd. I took the files from c:/ and e:/ that I copied to my pc and I put them on my new 200 gig hdd. I would like to boot up with original bios. Do I have to lock my hdd in order to do this. Also what is the best method to do this? I have heard of people not being able to unlock them because of a password or something and it causes trouble and frustration so is there something I should backup or write down before i attempt to lock it. Also the only files that I have added to my xbox are evoxdash.xbe and evox.ini and those were to c:/ so that I could boot up evox and ftp, I also added some folders in F:/ for games apps music etc... Will this affect when I boot up original bios or does it matter if I were to have them on then when I attempt to get on xbl. Also when my hdd is locked can I boot up my x2 bios off my tsop.
I have an upgraded hdd with x2 bios and original, how do i boot with the original bios?
you just need t lock your HD and flip your switch to retail
the locked/unlocked HD woes are generally only for softmodders becuase they have to lock the HD manually with a PC, for someone with TSOP flash you just boot with th eunlocked HD and then lock it with config magic
ok so i have my hdd unlocked and I boot it up with my x2 bios and then I go into config magic and lock it. Then I turn the xbox off and flip the retail bios and boot up the locked hdd. Then when I want to unlock it I boot the locked hdd with the x2 bios and then unlock the hdd with config magic.

Does xbl check any of the files on th hdd? I don't think it does but just checking. If not then can I add any file anywhere. To any of the partititions and be safe from being banned. As long as it's not a hacked game save or something like that.
no, Live doesnt scan any files other than checking for hacked saves
So I take it it doesn't check for hdd size then. Is there anything else I need to do to my hdd in order to get on live other than lock it and boot retail bios?

What does GT stand for... So basically I have one shot at this. If i do it wrong and get banned then the hdd upgrade on live is shot.

I was just reading the post in this forum about the exploding mcpx. I would like to put a heatsink on mine just to be sure. Do you have a link to a good heatsink for the mcpx with the selfadhesive back. What heatsink would you recommend putting on the nvidia mcpx chip. Thanks
By the way the box is up and running great. I updated my eeprom and I'm about to try it out on live. I have to order a straight through cable and I'm going to order a heatsink. Thanks again for the help
This one is self adheshive and recommended by quite a lot of people.
Spotted Horse MCPX heatsink
Lordvader what would you recommend for a heatsink on the mcpx.
Alex548 sells heatsinks with adhesive already on them, id say buy one from him
What heatsinks do you use on your mcpx? Where do you get them?

Ok I have live now and I'm good... I don't know if I'm going to get banned or not because I have only had it for a day or so. I was told by I think Lordvader that just to be even safer to have the bios boot your dash from f:/ that way c:/ will be exactly the same as if it were a stock hdd... I have the newest x2 bios, 5035 i think they are and i have the x2 config maker. I don't really know what do do with it though. I opened the x2 config maker and I see where to edit the places where is searches for primary, secondary etc... for the dashboard to boot. Then I save the file and it makes a .ini file. Where to I place this file or what do I have to do with it inorder for it to work. Thanks Also do I have to have the .ini file named something specific. Thanks again.
