i did a search, it didnt work. is there a tut on how to mod a NES controller to work on the xbox for emulated games?

I think I saw something out there one time... I think it involved mapping the wires from the nintendo controller to the xbox buttons cus the controllers worked different.  I think the dude that did it put a nintendo controller port in one of the memory card slots on the xbox controller so he could plug/unplug it...

Yeah, I think mapping it to the buttons is the only way based on reading alot about converting one to usb, cause even if you do that drivers don't exist.

I think the best way to go for this would be to buy the nes style playstation controller.

And then you can buy the adapter that allows you to play with ps2 and gamecube controllers

It's a ps2 controller not a nes. He wants a NES controller not a ps2. He might as well buy a ps2 controller if he wanted that. He probably want's it to play oldschool nes games.

Hes not trying to 'cram' anything into an NES controller, he wants to mod a NES controller to work with the Xbox.

i think you could fit the guts from that old school psx controller into an original nes controller... just do some rearranging and remapping of the buttons...then it might work... not sure tho.. i would have to see the internals of that controller

No cramming needed if he just maps the wires to the xbox buttons and replaces a memcard port with a nes port.

http://www.junkmachine.com/nintendo/2.php it tells u how to use it with a keyboard and mouse, *USB* and xbox controllers are set up the same way, so possably it should would.

That's just a mod that puts a PC inside a nes case.  The only thing happening there is the nes controller connector is being used as an alternative to a ps/2 connector.  There is no actual nes controller support referenced there.
