Title: Newb Question - Disable Flash Protection?

My friend flashed my TSOP a long time ago 1yr 3 months or so w/ Evox 2.4

I want to upgrade to X2_4980

I put this in my evox.ini under the [BIOS] section
ROM             = "4980.06_256",0x50fe679cbf3882aba9f7bd3d812b7f51

then I go to the xbox to flash it, and it says "flash is not writeable"

do i have to disable flash protection somehow?

your friend may have unsoldered the points to prevent you or someone from accidently flash the bios with the wrong size. You may need to resolder the points again.
