recently someone brought me a version 1.1 xbox with a sharp tsop and wanted me to flash the tsop and install a multibios switch, I first closed the write jumpers and added the extra jumper for a sharp tsop, when i turned the machine on I got a green light but no video or audio out, I then removed the write jumper on the top of the board (next to the lpc points) once removed the machine boots fine.
I installed a switch on this point so I could short it once the system was turned on, flashed the bios to x2 4796.02, once flashed the jumper didnt matter if it was open or closed machine would boot fine
now it'stime to install the multi bios switch and re flash half the tsop back to retail. did both of these just fine but when set to retail bios again no video if that jumper was shorted. I'm not certain whats different about this board from the many others I've done but someone else may run into this same problem. the manufacture date was 12-20-02
