i dont know if im right , coz im sorta a n00b, but i think its changing the original MS bios to a hacked one like evo-x d6 bios or whatever.

so that the xbox boots with a hacked bios without a modchip in

(correct me if im wrong, forum freaks)

having a flashed tsop is means you are MODDED

the tsop is the chip the normal bios is on... the one that comes with your xbox.
with a modchip you are making the xbox boot from the chip instead of the tsop
when you flash a tsop is overwrites the originial bios with a modified one allowing you to boot unsigned code

The only reason you might want to, is if you plan on returning your xbox to its normal state (eg. no modchip and regular bios on TSOP).

yes, you have all the other options as a modchip does.
