Title: Xenium Gold Sp And Ms Dash

hey guys got the chip installed everything working just installed new hd 200 gig and for some odd reason i cant find my ms dash file originally box was soft modded by a guy here in town bought it for 20 bucks a few months back and figured since i have two softmodded boxes already would chip this one it is a1.6 version and i am puzzled any help is great thanks

there are quite a but more than one dash file and since i have no idea what dash file you have, download slayers and extract the whole MSdash from there. all MSdash files go in C:/ drive.

next time use some punctuation.

i have the entire dash from slayers disk but i have no idea where to put it and it is running xbmc as the dash board it has a shortcut in the c drive with the (fonts folder also the sid folder and it has xboxdash.xbe and xboxdash_ffp.xbe but this is the shortcut for the xbmc dash i think i am not sure i am also getting a black screen when i go to the programs folder or the games folder and it wont load a game that i put on hd mortal kombat armeggedon for some reason i am completely new to the chip very experienced soft modding just need help with this chipping thing thanks for your quick response

I understand they go in the C:\ partition but it already has the shortcut in there for xbmc This is the structure in the C:\partition

Fonts
SID
xboxdash.xbe
xboxdash_ffp.xbe

that is the C:\ partition in a nutshell normally i would just restore the ms dash
but in this case i am not sure should i just overwrite these fles or what
also the black screen when loading certain files is kind of a nuissance but that i can deal with

so any aditional help would be appreciated thanks

just restore C drive back to stock. and then edit the bookmarks.

i restored the C:\ partition and now it will not boot to avalaunch as das only msdash and that is all i also tried the evox bios and it didnt make any difference it was only booting msdash so i reinstalled the soft mod and it boots to the avalaunch dash again .

i have a brand new xenium gold sp installed it is working and i used it to ftp back to the xbox and reinstall the soft mod really need a little more help Thanks

return the xbox back to stock before installing the chip.

You are both making this harder than it is.

Restore the default MS dash.

Get a fresh copy of Avalaunch or Xbmc, whichever you want to use. If you are using an older evox bios just rename the avalaunch or xbmc .xbe to evoxdash.xbe and copy it to the root of C:. Now when you boot your mod bios you will get the mod dash. You can also edit your bios to boot the dahses by their default name.

Rabid i installed the chip on a clean box then used auto installer delux 3.0 and installed all the apps and dashboard i wanted now you said rename avalaunch.xbe to evoxdash.xbe via ftp  and restore the msdash to original i will try it and post back thanks just new to the chip and dont want to f'up the box thats all thanks
