HI All ... need help ...
Xbox V1.0
I just received the "generic Solderless adapter" and Xenium Gold from Diveno. Since I have a 1.0 I have insulated the 4 spring wires ... I've inserted the DO wire solidly ...
When I start the box without the Xenium it boots normally and there is one blue LED lit on the adpater LDA1 ... when I put the Xenium on the led on the Xenium is red, it tries to boot three times then FRAG. I've notcied that when this happens the blue LED on the adapter turns off (But the Xenium is still shining red" ..
I've tried cleaning the contacts .. I've scraped them with a needle to remove any varnish ... I've tried the recovery mode ... any other thoughts as to what could be going on? Anyone else got this setup working?
I'm just dreading the idea of taking the box apart to solder so I'm making sure there is nothing I'm missing ...

the only piece you need for a solderless install on a v1.0 is the black base. post a pic of what solderless setup you are using.

you dont need the white piece of a v1.0 xbox. the only peice you need is the black base that came with the chip. the white is for 1.6 and 1.6b only.

OK ... Tried using only the black piece ... same thing happening ... I have a feeling the mod is fubar ... going to order another and see if that makes a difference ...

try using the chip on another modded xbox that you know works and see if it works. if it does the same thing then exchange the chip.

Bought a new 24K and everything works ... must have killed the chip ... all is well and I'm happy now ...
