hey guys
was recently given a xenium ice modchip, the chap i got it off told me that the bios needed reflashing
anyways heres the thing
have got it installed in my spare xbox with a solderless adaptor, which i know works, plug the chip in, and it starts to boot to the os (im assuming so, comes up with a xenuim splash screen) but just sits there and in the top left corner says loading.. then after a min or so comes up with HALT! with orange light flashing on the front of the box, does the same when turning on with both power and eject
have tried putting the m8 bios onto cd to see if it would load it, starts to read the disc with the bios file on (BIOS.BIN. 256k) it seems like its reading the disc, then again comes up with HALT
have reads throught the forums and cant seem to find any advice on what to do next, have turned the switch to recoverymode, but when bootings from it, it goes on off on off then frags, switch back normal, and then the same happens as above, just sits and hangs on the loading screen
if anyone could give me some advice id appreciate it, as im stumped!
by the way, its a v1.0 mobo with the lpc holes filled, a standard xapter solderless, sammy drive, seagate hdd, and normally works great with a xecuter 2.6, so i know is not a prob with the xbox itself

Yes snowdog is right its in "safe mode" and looking for a recovery.bin (a Xenium OS update) so flip the only switch on the modchip in the opposite direction. After rebooting the xbox you can either burn a Bios cd or ftp the bios to the hd via Xenium OS ftp (with it being an ICE it will have version 2 or above which supports FTP) then just boot to Xenium OS and flash bios I would recommend the HD flash b/c it saves time.
