When you leave it unplugged a while the clock resets and this causes problems with the xenium. The solution would be to boot to kernel after leaving it unplugged for a while and set the clock.

remove the chip from the adapter and boot the M$ dash
set date and time
refit chip and boot wot happens then
BTW what happens if you flip the recovery switch on the chip, do you see a recovery splash screen?

I had the same problem.
Turn it on, it's flashing green. Press eject. It brings up some crazy Xodus screen.
Reboot normally. Everything is okay! Break out the cheap beer and hookers!
