yeah i guess we'll take it up with MS, why dont they provide more spots on the board to fit modchip adapters
Now here is the place where opinions diverge, I hate the 1.0 installs, particularly with the solder in the lpc. I mean once you know what you will have to do first to get it ready it's cool, but for the average person who gets a chip and thinks" Whoo Hoo, drop it in and done!!" it's probably the hardest 1st time install. 1.2 to 1.3 I have seem quite a few LPC's that have a slight downward bow in the center of the LPC and can be a pain without the rivets. Give me a 1.4 anyday. 5 minutes tops, well 10 if you count open and close time.
What would be cool is those little tapered pins that are notched, on the bottom of the adapter, you could just add a little more pressure each time until you have the perfect fit. Although those usually have to be mushed to take them out, but if they gave you spares and made them removable like the pinheader, coolness.

thats just it provided you clean it up properly in the first place it'll be fine, i never have a problem. have had issues before though on v1.3's
I have the 1.0 with the Solder in the LPC, I was wondering should I try the install first without the Pins, or should I clean that solder out and use those Pins (furrows)?
If the best thing to do is to clean them out, how did you guys accomplish this?
Update: I found this thread, not that it really gives an answer as to how to clean out the LPC holes, but I guess I should try it without cleaning them first.
