Title: Loading Dashboard/programs W/o Reading Cd

Cd-r's don't work with about 95% of drives, even cdrw is finiky.  Your best bet is dvd-r, preferably a good brand like ritek.  The easiest way to install your dash and apps is with slayers, just burn it to a dvd-r and run it after loading a hacked bios and you will be set.

You are right v1.0 xbox dvd rom drives can act crazy when reading almost any type of media. Since you already know how to ftp and have already done so i would ftp all my programs/dashboards over via ftp.  Since you know how to ftp already here is a tutorial i wrote some time ago it will show you the basics on transfering your apps/dashboards  TUTORIAL
