Title: How To Turn Off Xenium Ice Os V.2 Pre For 1.6 Xbox

How do I turn off the Xenium Ice OS v.2 pre-release on a 1.6 xbox? And how do I get unbanned from xbox live? I loaded the retail kernel the first time I went online with that modchip, is the retail kernel the original BIOS?

retail kernel = stock BIOS = chip disabled

and if you're using 2.0 pre-release...you really should upgrade your Xenium OS to 2.3, you know.

It does not cost a dime to upgrade.  It will cost money to unban yourself tho.  You will need a new epprom, possibly a new hd and possibly a new gamertag.

Where do I get the upgrade and does it have a 'turn off' option? I have a upgrade hdd option on one of the menus,can that be my new hdd?

The add new HDD wizard is just that, it allows you to to move all you data from one hdd to another (so you don't lose things like the m$ dash etc.), you should read the manual on OS 2 I think there is a link to it in one of stickys above, that will answer your questions.

get version 2.30 - use hdd version if you plan to update via HTTP and ISO if you'll be burning to disc.

I do not suggest using the hd upgrade wizard, it can lead to problems.  Just use slayers if you plan on installing a new hd.

How do  i upgrade the version of my chip with ISO, do i just put in the disc and let it load?

Download. open, then place the recovery.bin file on the CD-RW using nero.

Once finnished burning choose "recovery"(i think) on main menu of Xenium OS 2.
insert burned CD.

Dude...Nero is a CD/DVD burning application. Download the latest 30 day trial ver.
here:http://ww2.nero.com/enu/neroue-prog.php.

Use that to burn the file.


It should only take just about 1 or 2mins

k, i got nero. so ur saying it takes 1-2 minutes to upgrade versions? I'v done the recovery thing 20 times, i'v waited an hour for that Xenium Ice chip to upgrade but it hasnt done it yet.


EDIT:i wasnt lying about my user name when it came to this chip. I thought that loading the retial kernal would turn the chip off. i went online and got banned the next day. so then i came to this.

your hard drive has to be unlocked.

and you probably got banned because you used the same gamertag and EEPROM but a new hard drive. bad idea.

i used the same gamertag, but a different eeprom and hard drive. I have one legit xbox and one hacked xbox.

so around $220. the eeprom will probaly cost money and so will the HD and gamertag.
