Title: Ftp Settings

If you dont use the XOS FTP, then post your dashboard based FTP settings, I just need some information so that I can attempt to know whats going on here. so PLEASE, post your info, Im on my last rope here (as far as FTP issues goes)

Your using a class C netmask with a class A IP address. Change the netmask to 255.0.0.0.

There are 5 classes of IPv4 addresses, of which only 3 can be used for
networks....A,B, and C. IP addresses are 32 bit numbers, divided into 4
byte parts separated by a decimal point. The IP address has a network
portion and a host portion. The number of bits used to identify the
network portion and the host portion vary according to the network
class of the address.

The netmask or subnet mask was designed to further subdivide a given
network, should the need ever arise. Usually this is only done by network
admins, for various reasons) There are 3 default subnet mask
addresses which correspond to the appropriate network class. But unless
you know how to subnet or just want to subnet, you will always use the
default subnet mask and this should match the class of IP address you
are using.

You shouldn't have to connect to the WAN of your college. You should just be able to use a cross-over cable and connect your Xbox directly to your PC once you have the files on your PC that you want to transfer to the Xbox. Make sure it is a cross-over cable though and not a straight through piece of data link cable.

I see the gateway IP also does not match your other settings. How are
you connected to the xbox? Directly or through a router?

Ok in that case post your computers network addresses....all of them.
And if your xbox has different addressing than what you posted before,
post those too.
