Title: Xenium Ice Need Help Pls.

I have no luck with using my Thompson drive for anything.  I moved ALL my files to the HD with FlashFXP.

I didn't feel like taking the time to find just the right CDRW media so I moved every file I use with FlashFXP.  Every file -bios, dash, app...

OK..I HAVE A 1.5 XBOX WITH A XENIUM ICE IN IT...JUST FLASHED IT WITH EVOX..AND GET THE LOGO FOR A FUW SEC'S ....NOW  FROM WHAT I READ IS I HAVE TO MAKE A ISO AND SAVE IT TO DISK..THEN HAVE DISK IN WHEN IT LOADS THE DASHBOARD ...IS THAT RIGHT?.SO IF I HAVE A THOMPSON DRIVE..IT COULD BE THAT IT JUST CANT READ THE DISK..AND THE ISO FILE I MADE I GOOD?......THIS IS SO HARD..BUT THE LIGHTS ARE COOL..YA RIGHT. sad.gif

Well I have a version 1 with a solderless Xenium and it's been a learning experience for day one.  Like I said before I gave up trying to burn a disk and ignored everything about making an .iso or whatever.  I moved all files to the box with FXP.  When you click the quick connect button are you putting in the Server name, username, and password?  I'm telling ya, I'm using Evox as a dash so your stuff might be completely different, but when I was able to connect to the box--I was golden.

Mine looks like 192.168.1.105 and then xbox is the username and I think xbox is the pass too.  Sorry I can't remember ATM.  Yours could be 192.168.1.101-102...103 etc

why don't you just use slayer's evox auto installer?  should help and then you can ftp the new bios and load it from your xenium os

That would be a good start.  My LAN is plugged in always unless I'm physically working on it.

i don't know where you can get slayers, try xbins, if you don't know what that is do a search on xbox-scene you should find how to get there and all.  or type in slayers evox auto installer into google and find a place to download it.

scroll tot he bottom, you can download slayers fromt hem you just have to download it part by part and them make sure all the parts are together, highlight the 1st part and extract it, it should extract the full slayers image and you burn it onto a cd rw and put it in the xbox and load it.

extract the image from part 1 and burn the iso image onto a cdrw remember check finalize cd so it can be recognized on the xbox

OK GOT THE CD TO BOOT ..NOW WHAT? IT SAYS I SHOULD FTP AND BACK UP MY BIOS...DO I FTP WHEN IM ON THE SLAYER SEREEN OR SHOULD I BE ABLE TO FTP ANY TIME ..JUST AS LONE AS I HAVE THE MOD CHIP ON

you should be able to ftp through evox just search in there for the ftp settings so you know the ip and all you are trying to connect to.  I haven't used Slayers in a while but keep looking till you find Instal and it should say Evox & Apps and you install that now it will install evox and some apps and you can restart it take out the disc and you should be able to load your dashboard.
