Title: Ms Dash Won't Load Right.

Xenium chip with Evox m7 bios files for 3 other dashes.  well they load fine.  the MS dash sometimes loads the way it is supposed to, but sometimes not.  when i select it in the launch menu, it goes to a black screen sometimes and sometimes it loads. hmmm?  any ideas guys. thanks

thats funny. i guess u think im some kind of n00b, sorry, but i have the latest OS running. thats not the problem.

I think that's the problem....  ur using 2.0.1

There was a post here not too long ago about 2.0.1 killing the retail bios.  Anyways, after i read it,  i tried to see if i was affected too.  Unfortunately, my M$ bios suddenly  stopped working.  I had to install the MS bios  like evox, found it from the usual places.

Worked fine ever since.

u mean load it up on the launch menu like flash from the hdd instead of tsop?

mine does this also.  though its sporadic.  i will go to the xenium os and launch retail, screen goes black and eject blinks green.  i'll power off, start all over, and it will launch.  i've never had to power it off more than twice before finally launching.

ya

make sure u have the right version for your xbox.  Mine was a  1.6 so i had to use 5838 (size 256 mb).  

Don't know what your xbox uses.  And it should act normal, even on live.  I would know coz ive been playin on halo 2 live everynight since it came out, and no problems so far.
