Title: Is My Chip Repairable?

i have 2 chips and various other ude eploited boxes but while i was attempting to put a a chip on a "rebuilt" lpc port(damn 1.6) i not only fried the box but i think that i may have fried the zenium chip...i use solderless adapters on my  2  chipped boxes and i have swapped these chips and i get the same response....the response is: when give the box power(with bad chip) , the chip flashes red as if the d0 was not in postion...i have attemped to slide that "safe mode" switch on this but had no success...

any ideas would be appreciated...
