I want to upgrade my xbox to 128 Mb ram. I took a look at http://www.xbox-scene.com/modchips4_table.htm and saw that the Xenium doesn't support 128Mb xboxes? Is this correct? So it's useless then to upgrade my xbox to 128mb if I use the Xenium modship?

No. this isn't correct. Your xbox will work fine with 128MB or ram and the Xenium chip. (Assuming you correctly install the ram; not an easy task at all :P)

Thank you for the reply!
So the XeniumOS supports the full 128 Mb? That means there's an error in the table?
And installing the ram isn't a problem because I have all the SMD-tools I need :) I'm a print repair engineer so I have the skills to do this :)

128MB works even if Xenium OS don't see it (like your retail games don't). Only Linux and emulators will use it, also check out dexbe for games/apps to stop the games stutering but all RETAIL games only use 64MB ram. Great for linux/XBMC.emulaters though.

Ok, thanks. I'm new to this and I was looking for a mod chip. My favourite is the Xenium but I was afraid it couldn't upgrade to 128Mb with this chip. But now my decission is made :) And I never heard of dexbe before but google's my friend ;)
I just want my xbox to run as smooth as possible and I think it will run better with an upgrade of the ram and the "ata100 mod". Besides these mods, I will also do some mods to make my xbox silent. I have a v1.0 and that GPU-fan is driving me crazy :)
Dunno if there are other mods that will improve the speed of the xbox? I'm looking for a cpu upgrade but haven't found anything usefull so far :D

Thats about the only way to get a cpu upgrade. Be aware tho that almost nothing will benefit from these upgrades. Mame is about the only thing that would benefit at all from either upgrade. The ram won't help any games since they are all set to use 64mb, and the cpu upgrade will hurt games since they tend to overspeed on the faster processor. The cpu upgrade is only good for linux, but then again you can build a pc for about the same price and thro linux on it and have it run better.

128 MB ram is only good for emulators and linux running on xbox,no increase seen elsewhere.
Is not the bios that doe snot support it, its the software that calls the memory to utilize it.
