how about only burning one of them instead of both?
A lot of people have been having trouble with the XOS 2.0.1 ISO image... try burning the recovery.bin from the HDD download onto the CD with a few dummy files thrown on there for padding (Can be anything, mp3s, etc).
Alternatively, just try the HDD recovery method, that is, putting the recovery.bin on E: and recovering.
i always used the hdd version and it has never stuffed up on me.

tried, doesnt work

so are you saying to iso that file or keep it bin?
I'm saying keep the recovery.bin file a .bin and burning it to the root of an ISO9660 CD with other files also on the disc to pad it.
i also belive on the xodus site they have a little file around 600k that can produce a couple 100 meg dummy file..
im gonna go get link.. gimme a sec

its a 327k rar file that produces a 640 meg dummy file.
