Title: 2.01 Installing Probs
Post by: daser1220 on October 09, 2004, 06:48:00 PM
ok so im trying to install 2.01 from 2.0 with a cdrw that the xbox does read, or at least music from it. so i use nero 6 to burn the 2 iso files from xeniums site exactly how the guide says to. so i turn on the xbox, the xenium menu is up, i put in the cd, click recovery, and it says halt. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?!?

A lot of people have been having trouble with the XOS 2.0.1 ISO image... try burning the recovery.bin from the HDD download onto the CD with a few dummy files thrown on there for padding (Can be anything, mp3s, etc).

Alternatively, just try the HDD recovery method, that is, putting the recovery.bin on E: and recovering.

I'm saying keep the recovery.bin file a .bin and burning it to the root of an ISO9660 CD with other files also on the disc to pad it.
