Title: Oooh Damn, Screwed My Xbox?
Post by: truSteh on October 04, 2004, 09:32:00 AM
tongue.gif) so I wanted to set the clock and stuff again, I went into the Xenium OS and started the Retail Kernel.

But then I gives the screen, Service Needed. Call Customer Support (OOH SHIT  huh.gif )

The LED is flashing RED/GREEN, i checked IceGuide but I haven't sold wires so the code explanations there are useless for me.

What to do ?

Another problem I had yesterday, but I just don't get my question answered:

QUOTE
If I put my (original!) Midtown Madness 3 disc in the xbox, all the movies will play, but at the loading screens he just keeps loading for hours.. I guess he just hangs..

But NBA Live just starts, I can play games and stuff. But I can't save things, it gives an error..

Now I have a "backupped" Juiced placed on my harddrive, I run it and also the movies will play. For the first time I had to create a driver profile, at the end of the creation (were it should save I guess) it gives the error: There's a problem with the disc you're using, it may be dirty or damaged.. I ain't using no disc at all  When I reboot I can see the profile though, when I click on it I get the same error :S

What's wrong here? Broken HDD maybe? I just use it for the second time or so, my xbox was turned of for the last two weeks

Maybe this has something to do with it?

Thx, all the info about my box is in my sig.

Two different issues... For the first one, try locking your HDD... There should be an error code in the corner of the "Needs Service" screen (Unless you have an early 1.0 xbox...).. what is it?

For your second issue, try deleting the files in E:\CACHE.

tongue.gif ..

Error 13 is about an outdated dashboard if I'm right, i guess an outdated ms dashboard since I get this error when launching the ms dash..

Launching my UnleashX just works fine..

So I have to update my ms dashboard now ?

Isn't it an option for me to just use the Recover option or the EEPROM option in the Xenium OS ?

I fail to see what your eeprom has to do with any of this... (Nothing...)

Anyways, try updating your retail dash with a LIVE game: unplug your ethernet cable and pop a LIVE disc in. In fact, for this, even a LIVE game on the HDD will work. Go to the  LIVE  part of the game and go through some menus and stuff. Your dash should be automagically updated and ought to work fine after rebooting the xbox.

If your xbox is a 1.6, you NEED to use the lastest dash or it gives you error 13 and 16.  Either use a xbl game and unplug the ethernet cable first to be sure of not being banned, or just use slayers or download it from somwhere else.

Well I did a search, and found out what you said. It was error code 16. I looked up in this post http://forums.xbox-s...howtopic=167408 what to do, fixed the error 16, but now I get a friggin' error 13 tongue.gif ..

Sounds like you used Slayers 2.5 to setup your xbox...

Use Slayers 2.6 to repair the MS Dashboard.

Is midtown madness on your HDD? If so, sounds like you deleted (Or processed a game disc in dvd2xbox with .acl processing on... Or got a copy of the game without it) the Dashupdate.xbe file from it (I usually do when I copy games on the HDD; the redundent files are largely uneeded for LIVE games on the HDD because you can't actually play live games from the HDD...)

smile.gif) works also (cool game btw!) .. only I still get an error when I try to acces the MS Dashboard.. Error 13.. I'll try to acces the live thingy to replace the ms dashboard using Juiced, maybe that works.
