Title: Xbox Wont Read Cd With Bios On
Post by: Zod5000 on September 29, 2004, 03:40:00 PM
for some f*cked up reason, xbox drives don't like most cdr discs. Its really wierd.  But they do like cdrw's and dvd-r's.

so try one of those.  I still don't get why they like cdrw's and not cdr's, but thats what they do.

good luck,

Brian

If you find you just can't get the CD to read in the xboxes crappy dvd drive (very common problem) then you can just ftp your bios and dash to the xbox with the XOS2's built-in ftp server

Or you can do the same thing with SMB (both ways)

Alternatively you can copy your bios onto a USB thumbdrive and load it off that! (h: drive)

I *always* use the FTP method
