Lots of things could be wrong.
You probably have a bad solder joint, try resoldering any suspect joints
I soldered in a xenium ice to a 1.6 today and I get no difference from when the chip is in the box or when its not. It boots exactly the same either way. I followed a guide that said just run a wire from the "d0" to the solder spot on the chip. It seems like I should have to ground to it some where but it said that this was only needed on the blue xenium's. Like I said it boots the same with the chip on the pin header or off and when its on the pin header the red led is kind of bright for a second then turns dim as its going through the normal boot sequence, but still boots as if stock.
Should I use the d0 harness and ground out to the screw hole?
Thanx

P.S. Sorry for my ignorance this is not the first chip I have soldered nor the first 1.6 I have done but it is the first xenium I have soldered in. Strange so far. Thanx again for any help.
LFRAME goes to d0 on the ICE chip, if you use the harness solder in ground too, doesn't hurt...
You sure you got the right LFRAME spot on the xbox?
Does your chip lightup at all? If not, ensure the chip is on the headers the right way, and that all your LPC rebuild points are correct, and well soldered... It's easy to mix points up on a 1.6 install...
yea I hadnt used the harness just had the lframe connected to the ice d0 spot with some 30 awg. I checked the point several times and its soldered in very solid. I guess I am gonna have to try the d0 harness.
