You add the tsop image to your xenium (upgrade to OS2 Beta2 it's better than Beta1) and make sure your hard drive is locked (if you upgraded your hard drive) and select retail kernel and go on live.

If you have FTP access (evox, i'm sure you do) download the HDD version of Xenium OS2 Beta2 from www.teamxodus.com and put the file (the one inside the zip I think) on the root of your E drive.

Reboot into Xenium OS and chose recovery mode and leave it to flash for a good five minutes (I think the xenium chip led turns green once finished) if that don't work flip the recovery switch and use the CDRW method (download the right one for CDRW if you use that).

Actually the box should "power off" when the upgrade is finished .

be sure to wait until it is done, and powers off, and then power it back on.

You will need to reload all your bois' in but, it is all good, OS2b2 is alot better.

Yup mine did (but didn't when I upgraded from 1.0 to 1.1) so it's best to wait until the process is fully complete or it may mess up.

No I have not done that method (my dvd drive messed up) check manuals etc, I'd do the HDD method if I were you it's easy then just make sure you delete the file after.

yup then just leave it it's all automatic as long as you the (.bin file I think) on the root of e it'l find it.

Be sure to delete this file when you are done ...


I have 3 boxes with OS2b2 on them and the HD method worked best.

I tried the CD/DVD method on one box and got errors so I went back to hd ...

I think one of my boxes (for some unknown reson) went like 8 minutes ....

ALSO !!!

Make sure you grabbed the OS2B2 and not the OS2B1 HD install ...

I grabbed the wrong one off my hd and it just blinked at me forever!!! had to start over , but I did not need to use the recovery switch it just was not upgraded ...

But if you have to use the recovery switch on the chip ...
