I just got my xenium ice today installed it and got the os screen, followed the directions to do the TSOP and backed the EEPROM, I then clicked the flash button to try to put some bios on off a cd, but i immidiatly go to a black screen that says on the top right "XENIUMOS KERNAL PANIC!" it then takes me back to the origional screen... My origional Xbox hdd is broken all i have in my xbox is my old computers 60g hdd, how can i format it, add the bios and all that, i cant even load the slayers evox 2.5 to try to format the hdd because i cant install the bios,

PLEASE HELP

thank you

Downgrade to XOS1.1

Once you fix up your HD etc, then go back to XOS2

It doesn't sound like you burned the cd correctly as it should boot from it.  Do you see/hear the xbox trying to access the cd drive after selecting your bios bank?

Yes but he wasn't able to boot to retail xbox to fix the time, so he downgraded.

Now that you aren't running XOS2 anymore it'll be slightly more difficult to rebuild your harddrive.  The easiest thing would be to grab a copy of the Slayers disc to rebuild the hard drive.  Just burn it to the same type of media that you used to downgrade XOS to 1.1.

heres the prob... i tried the slayers burnt it both to the same cdrw and the dvd-r, i was able to set the chip to auto boot so it doesnt even go to the xenium os screen takes me striaght to the m8 bios allowing me to either boot with the HDD (i get error 9) and without a HDD and i get and error 7... i can hear the disc spinning at different speeds but after the fluber screen and waiting at the "MS XBOX" screen for a while i get the "your xbox requires service" with each of the numbers stated below... i looked up both those errors and both of them have to do with the hard drive...duh non of them work...im stuck maybe a different media?? it did take several attempts to get the downgrade cd to work.  Whats the best media for Thompson,

well i got to pick up some of that media... now does it matter if i get the memorex cdrw 4x, 8-12x...they have diff kinds...

i always questioned when i was buring the ISO files, i have the slayers evox 2.5 auto, X-disk, and super disk 3.7 rc8...

all i do is click on the iso, it auto matically opens nero and i click the burn button...
when i want to burn the iso to a dvd i just click the dvd tab then click the burn button... burning at medium speeds...

are there some settings i should be looking for??

i plan to pick up a new HDD as well what is a good 120g...hopefully its blankness will get rid of the error messages both haveing to do with the HDD.

The hard drive isn't your problem... the problem is you can't get a cd to boot so you can format/install a dashboard.  Instead of paying another $80-$100 for a hard drive why don't you look up a local installer and have him/her help you finish up the job while showing you what you were doing wrong.  Will cost you a lot less than a new hard drive.
