The devoplment of a biso does seem to be takeing a long time - but at the end of the day you have the chip and a working bios so why should any one else do more work on it - the team have made there money !!!

Last time I bitched about something was before they released the beta, and I was bitching because they had the nerve to release useless videos instead of finishing product.
If it doesnt work on your system, report the problems to OZXodus so they can fix it. Then just wait like everyone else.

This has nothing to do with some imaginary "scene."
This guy is a paying customer. He spent his hard earned money. It's very cavalier of you to tell him to just sell his chip, but not real practical.
I'm new to "the scene" myself, but I've become very educated about what's been going on.
For example:
I'm lucky enough to have a Xenium ICE, but I would be FURIOUS if there was a newer version of the OS available and the company (which had PROMISED me an update) had failed to deliver one, ESPECIALLY when we all know that's it's available.
Now this guys issue is a little different, but he's just venting his frustration like everyone else. And I, for one, find his comments constructive, if a little negative.
So what? Let the man speak.
Trying to drown him out by threatening him with "making enemies in the scene" sounds like you're a 15 year-old gang member.
Why don't the two of you smell what The Rock is cooking and Stop the Madness.

You're friends/customers are right not to get TOO excited.
The 2.0 pre-release is just that - a pre-release. It definitely gives you a peek at how awesome the final release of 2.0 is going to be, but it still needs a little work.
Like you said, there are many people who are running 1.1 and are perfectly happy. In fact, most BIOS/Dashboard combos out there already contain the "extra stuff in v2.0 such as the ftp server, etc. So noone is really missing out.
In fact, I know a few ICE users who reverted back to v1.1 because they found it more stable, etc.
I'll drink a Corona for everyone in this thread.

and how many of you really use the OS that much anyway? i only used it to FTP my bios and dask to it and flash BIOS. what else does it really need to do right now? seriously. i would really like the new options, but it isn't that big of a deal to me right now

That is a bit of an unfair statement. Comparing casual customers to ncaissie, someone who actually spends time browsing the X-S forums and such, doesn't make much sense. They simply don't have the same level of interest. It would make sense that he would care for the update more than most of your customers. Similarly, I'm more anxious to get it than the people I've installed mods for.

you got that right. i am happy with my flawless os2 beta. so waht if i dont have hdd option for launching stuff. thats why we have dashboards, sure it will be nice when it comes out, but in the end, a mod chip is used to boot a bios. once its on the chip, then all those other little options are meaningless.
btw: ozxodus will still be better than x3. can someone please tell me what is so much better about it? whatever it has, can be implemented in ozxodus' OS, i am sure of that.
