what bios are you trying to flash to it ?

try setting the clock on your xbox

it has nothing to do with clock and such, i had(ve) the same problem. i flashed all my banks, then deleted one, and tried flashing it again, and it gave me the error. my clock is fine, as is everything else. its something with the chip.

if the xenium os2 works on the chip and the tspo bio works on the chip does that mean that the chip is working properly? My reasoning is simply to see and make sure the chip isnt the major issue. Thanks for the help? By the way, I am using a dvd-rw to flash my bios could that be the issue? However it finds the bios...I don't know any help would be great, thanks guys.

instead of installing the bios via the dvd drive try using samba or the ftp server to copy the bios directly to your harddrive and see if u get simular results.  also, which bios are you trying to flash?

how do i actully connect to the smb server? I clicked it on but am not sure how to actually connect it to my cpu. I am currently useing a 2 wire home portal to connect to my cpu and to my xbox. I have tried running X2 4978, X2 4981 and M7. Hey I have a question. I know where to go to get the xbins, maybe I am grabbing the wrong files. For instance I cant ever find bios that are labelled simply X2 4978, I tend to find alot of .rar formated files. Are these patches or the actual bios? If they aren't the bios which files are they actually on xbins as? Thanks for the help

start menu
run
type in sysdm.cpl in the run prompt box and hit enter
click the computer name tab in system properties
write down your computer name
goto xbox and enter the samba settings
enter in your computer name where it ask to in the samba settings
goto your computer and open your internet browser
type in //xbox

.rar is an extension frome a file packing utility called winrar.
google search winrar to find the program needed to open rar files
the bios files are in the .rar files and u need winrar to extract them
