retail bios will not work with an unlocked hdd.
hdd have to stay locked.

i was also reading about the recovery.bin boot disc....would that be on any use?
im also pretty sure the solderless adapter is posisionted properly, i eman it worked last nigth and all...and led on the chip does light on

Well remember that xenium ice has OS 2.0 Pre- Release which is the newest OS.
You can't reflash that OS pre-release versiohn cause it has not been released as image.
The newest OS 2.0 version released as image that can be burned to cd is a Beta version only.

Taping it down, heh lol thats original.
The paper trick would be the more common trick though.
