you are very confused!!!!!

If it does how will it work on a 1.6, because once the bios loads, it will clear anything from Os2 including video encoder support?
yeah... there aren't any hacked bioses with 1.6 support....
QUOTE
They think the chip works on a 1.6 which it does, but what you dont say, is you cant do anything useful with the xbox, once the chip is in. The x3 bios will be x3 specific, and m8 kills xboxes. What good is Os2 on a 1.6?
the CHIP works... not the bios... YET!
the beta leaked by FRANZ kills 1.6s....

I just won a couple xenium modchips, and was wondering if Os2 will still require an x2 bios to boot games?
no... they made a magical program that can load xbox programs with out a xbox bios....
Its all about business.
As far as they are concerned it loads on a 1.6 xbox. Will you be able to play unsigned code with it? No, not until a bios is released.
Look for it from Evo, but dont expect one coming from Xecuter, they'll probably release a 1.6 bios specifically for X3 modchip, great way to boost sales.
Bios are out of their hands, they have no control of when or if at all it will be released. But then again they will have lived up to their end by creating a modchip that will load on a 1.6

Also are you sure franz leaked it, cuz I dont think he did.
lol, wtf?

Hence me asking if it was BUILT IN to the f'ing os. I was hoping ozxodus took the time to actually write a bios that boots, games, apps, etc, not just an os to load another bios. (Seems redundent) The os/bios of the x3 is just one software package, so it dosnt need to be magic. Why is it that only one team takes the time to not rely on other peoples work, and puts the bios where it belongs inside the os. I dont blame you though, after using a chip that needs two seperate software packages to do two seperate things, its probably hard to even imagine the concept if the software on the modchip actually booting a game, without an external bios.
of course its redundant!
Why should OzXodus make there own bios when there are already good ones out?
QUOTE
Besides ive given up on team evox, hopefully the iND bios will work. Why would team xecuter even want to release a bios that works on other chips. This way they have the only working bios, therefore the only chip worth buying.
well duh! maybe MARKETING... did ya notice how there name is on it everywhere???
QUOTE
So... why dont they write a bios that does what a bios is suppose to, launch external apps?
you are confused on what the xos IS... a LOADER FOR BIOSES!!! why don't YOU write a bios that does what it is "supposed to do"?
QUOTE
That is EXACTLY what i said. The bios still loads into memory, it just can not output to the video encoder. You can boot any bios on a xenium chip, it dosnt mean it will display anything. Which amounts to no bios working on a 1.6.
acutally you CAN download the retail bios for the 1.6 and run it....

u said that there is a bios for 1.6 but when it loads it clears your os. which is what psiblade was referring to, |
WabidWoveren didn't say anything wrong when he said that. He was asking if an x2 (and assumedly he knew m7 etc would also work) bios was required to play games. He proceeded to ask how it would work with a 1.6 box if it *is* required since, once the bios loads, the os is not loaded anymore and any os2 1.6 compatibility is lost.
He made perfect sense.

I never said a hacked bios worked with a 1.6 but you can flash the bios none the less. It would be the same as back in the focus days, when the bios did not have focus support. No video output.
