If the alternate d0 didn't work it wouldn't be much of an alternate now would it?

Hi, I was installing a Xenium for a friend who messed up his top d0. I installed the Xenium and I got a red LED on chip. Then I tested it and it fragged! I then proceeded to solder the d0 on top to the d0 on the Xenium. It loaded the MS BIOS and the MS Dash. When I disconnect d0 it frags. What I am wondering is if that I solder the alt. d0 point to the d0 on the Xenium if that will work? Also, would I be able to use Xbox Live if I did this? Thanks for you help guys!

It shouldn't frag if the d0 is disconnected. Try repairing the trace, or get someone to repair it. Or it just might have a corrupt bios on the tsop (which it shouldn't, because you say it boots to msdash if d0 is on the chip)
