You boot up and can select the bank to boot from. If you want to boot from the original bios you can from the configuration menu or how you set it to boot up. Great Chip...

what he said ^ !.  if you can boot through the original bios in the xenium to the regular xbox OS dash (the one you get if you have no disc in the xbox drive) then you are ok, but...  recently it is rumoured that live may start banning in mass, and supposedly have banned a few, ppl who own drives other than the xbox retail drive.  you could make a switch for your retail drive so you can use one for live and your large drive for everything else, there are tutuorials (click the link on the xbox scene home page) on how to do this.

Where do i get the Xenium LED !!!???? they dont give it with the mod chip apperently!!!
