Title: Box Switches Off For No Reason

have you looked inside? maybe when putting the thing back together some connections came loose with the power button and it is turning off and on your xbox? did u solder anything to the power/reset board?

figured it out, the chip I took out was an alx+R2, which has a wire soldered to the power board.  When taking that out, I pulled something off the motherboard, got a new one and all is well, thanks anyway
