Title: Securing The Xenium Chip In Place...
Post by: cap269 on February 23, 2004, 12:20:00 PM
*shrugs* ... I dunno, never used a solderless adaptor b4. I use pinheader and it's plenty secure. Maybe this will bump the thread so someone who knows better can answer.

You ain't talking about Fujitech's solderless adaptor??
I'm pritty sure it needs you to use pogo pins for it

I tired it and it wouldn't work at all on it's own it only worked after I soldered it in place.
I never even booted the thing I installed and though this is far far too loose LMAO

just compare the pin header install of the Xenium to the solderless chameleon.  After you install the pins sticking out of the pinheader in the xenium pinheader install picture should be in the same places as your cham solderless pins.

the cham solderless manual is @ www.xodus-chip.com

the xenium pinheader install manual is @ www.ozxodus.com

Thanks arjkar! Got it installed, was stressing unnecessarily, being the first install etc... I compared the pins of the adapter touching the board and put the pins in the holes that were coming in contact with the adapter.
