I did the pin header install today as well, although mine was succesful. Are you sure u soldered to the DO? and did u accidently drop sum solder on the mobo? if u did it mite frag for that reason. Also check the chips, on the silver part I dropped sum solder and it fragged, but when i got it off, worked fine. ALthough i did melt like 3 or 4 of the lil silver things 2gether and it messed up again. but i fixed THAT and it works now. Hope this helps ya out, L8er

I try the alternate D0 method, now the chip led is still red, the eject button is solid red. Is that mean that I need to buy another Xbox ?

If you have a 1.5 version of the xb, then you'll need two additional connections for 3.3v and ground. You should probably get a multimeter and check to see if you have a version 1.5. Check here for version info:

Hope this helps!!

how about if you desolder the d0 and remove the chip itself? If it doesn't boot then you are in a pickle my friend. There are some tuts that may help out with fixing a lifted lead (d0). BTW I really don't understand why everyone doesn't use the alt d0 point. That thing is frickin huge. Just run the wire through one of the holes near the pin header and bam its cake. Main d0 point is always sketchy at best.

Well...do you get the Xenuim splash screen when you power up?

To my understanding, red LED could mean many things, like no BIOS installed. Does your xb boot with the chip removed? I'm wondering if you somehow damaged it??

Are you using anything except the standard rca video cables? I have heard of some problems with the advanced video pack/hd tv connections etc...

You need to add these two wires shown here:
