Title: Spider Gx. Solder Pogo Pins Onto Lpc?

Is it possible to just take the motherboard out and allign the pogo pins on the chip up with the holes on the lpc, then secure the chip there with electrical tape, flip the motherboard over and solder the pogo pins to the LPC wholes without using a pin header? It seams to me like it would work.

No you need a headerpin. Try if you like but it will be difficult to remove afterwards.
