I recently bought a new Duo X2 (white), and installed it into my xbox, had a lil trouble with the D0 point on the motherboard (any help on souldering tht solid?) but i got it all done. when i started the chip up on bank 1 it started to pullup the bios then gave me an error over and over again (need to copy the text verbatim, will do in a min), then when i switched it to bank 2 it said searching for IDE devices but never found anything. i don't know what's up, any help is apreciated

congratulations, you installed it correctly.
just add some linux, or flash a different bios.

As litspliff said, you've installed it correctly. If you want to play backups you'll need to flash it with a different bios. We can't tell you where to get the files, but check #xbins. Google for the info.
Slayer's Auto Installer is a great tool to download. I think the last version was 2.7 but its been a couple years since I had to look for one.
Remember that the flash banks on the DuoX2 are 512kb in size, so you'll need a bios that size. Make sure you get one that's compatible with your version of Xbox (1.0-1.5 or 1.6).
