Title: Duo X Only Works With D0 Connected To Ground

Hi all

My chip ( cromwell ) will only work when i connect the d0 from the mother board to ground. If i connect it to the chip, the chip doesnt seem to do anything.

Ive tried all other possible ways of wiring it but the only way is with d0 to ground.

Iwouldnt mind if i could get it to boot to a media centre dash board as thats all i want it for really ( not gaming ).

If i boot it with d0 connected to ground i can boot things like emu disks, slayers etc, but with nothing in the drive it just hangs on the xbox screen with evo x in the top corner.

Shall i try flashing the chip again with another bios?

512k is correct?

Any help would be great, i have spent hours on this xbox.....maybe the chip is faulty?

Sorted it, flashed the chip and now it boots to media centre with no cd/dvd in the drive (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif). Im happy now, i didnt want it for games so the chip being on all the time doesnt bother me.

Awesome machine, i cant believe i missed out on the xbox.....going to have some fun with this over the next few weeks.
