Title: Soldering D0 Wire

Bottomside D0 is much easier and I don't think it's the least bit hard, but if your getting a solderless I'm guessing your soldering isn't up to par. Just find something to practice on like an old broken electronic and practice soldering a wire to the smallest points on the board, you'll be fine with a lil practice.

TBH I'd never even soldered anything in my life until my 2nd chip (would've learned on the first one, but my friend is a professional board repair tech, so I let him do that one). I just tore open an old broken DVD player I had and started desoldering components from the mobo for an hour or two, then put them all back on. After about 3 hours of practice I soldered my chip in and found it pretty easy. Best tip I can give is not to go too hot or too cold. 25 watt to 35 watt I think is best, lower and the solder gets sticky and you have to hold the iron on too long to get a good joint, too hot and you risk burning up the board.

I've done alot more soldering since, did a 128 RAM upgrade (which I'll never do again,  laugh.gif ), and even do surface mount LEDs on 360s now (hence my avatar).  smile.gif

Yeah, the RAM upgrade was on the XBOX.  http://www.xbox-linu..._Xbox_RAM_HOWTO

Yeah the DouX2 won't come with any wire (unless the re-seller adds it for you). If you need to buy some I'd recommend using 30 AWG wire, which you should only need a small peice for the D0 (unless you have a 1.6 box).

It has to be silver wire too right? I bought my XBOX the first 6 months it was out lol. I have a 1.0 bro.
