yes you can flash the retail ms bios on bank 0 and use that bank for live

I had a customer with that issue before and I installed a DuoX2 for him.  INstalled X2 bios on bank 1, MS bios on bank 0.  Then I desoldered the switch on the chip and installed wires to run the switch out the bottom of the controller port and glued the switch to the bottom.  THat way you could switch back and forth without opening the case.
