Move the BT point to the alternate. Its classic symptoms of an intermittent short on the connection to BT behind the eject button. You may want to trim down the lengths of exposed wire on the BT connections for future installs to prevent problems on future boxes.

thanks guys
, the bt wire must have been getting some interference so i removed it from the eject button and grounded it to pin 9 like in chancers sig. works great now

so far Ive chipped using the BT not on mobo,
Ive never encountered this problem but should I start
using bt on mobo? is this blue chip or white chip specific?
also chancer what bt do you use?

I use the underside BT but have used the eject button with no issues at all. The problem is usually a tiny solder short caused when soldering to the eject button. Removing the BT wire clears the short during unsoldering.
