I have a v1.6 xbox that I plan to install the Duox chip in.  I have looked at the diagram that shows the pin header installation and a picture of the wires on the bottom of the xbox MB.  Is there anywhere that gives wire lengths?
Also, the diagram shows some of the wires soldered in the middle of a straight run...do you just scrape away the green coating and solder the wire to the run?
Thanks for any info.
MC

There are no set lengths the wire should be for the LPC rebuild... usually the shorter the better.
They may appear to be soldered directly on the "Runs" (actually called "Traces"), but in fact they are attached to small points called VIA's. It's not wise to solder directly on a trace. For you may apply to much heat causing to lift and damage the trace. The best way to remove the green lacquer coating is by using a fiberglass pen...  using an Xacto knife is possible but higher probability of breaking a trace if care not taken.

Chancers guide is great for showing you what pins to pull from the female header for soldering on to the mod chip.  The male pinheader doesn't need any pics pulled for the 1.6 so just line it up with pin 1 on the lpc and solder it in place.  His picture shows how your solder work should look.  Then just follow his diagram for the 1.6 rebuild.  Just cut the wires to fit the length of each rebuild wire as you see how long it needs to be.
i find reading Chancer's guide, and HackDaBox's guide both will help you out a lot.

After you get that lpc rebuilt, if you have a cromwell edition duo you may need to boot it several times with bank 1 to get it to fire. If you have trouble flashing it , I would recomend a hot swap or just getting a blue duo that has a v1.6 bios on it. Just my 2 cents....
