Title: Duox2 Box Internet Problems
Post by: elpimpo12 on January 23, 2006, 10:06:00 PM
My roommate has a Duox2 on a box.  The recommended X2 bios is loaded onto it.  Since I don't know of any bios editing feature like in the X3 bioses, I use the Slayers Auto-Install to get an IP on the box.  We can then connect to the box using the given IP, but when I disable the chip and try to connect to xbox live to register an account via the dashboard, it won't connect to the internet.  I have an aftermarket HD installed.  Any suggestions?

Sounds like your Xbox may have been banned.  This happens if the original harddrive was on Xbox Live and then you switched to a larger drive.  The way to save the box is to buy an eeprom off the forums that is virgin with never being on live.

That may be.  We had to buy a new motherboard for the box, so that may be the case.  But does Xbox Live inform you in any way that you have been banned?
