Title: White Clone Duox2 Black Screen On Bank 1 But Works On Bank2

Since the very beginning, bank0 never worked.  I had to flash the Duox2 on bank1.

Does anybody know why this happens?


Your bank numbers aren't consistent but my guess is you have a 1.6 console, they can have trouble booting FlashBIOS (comes on Bank 1). Did you flash by booting from Bank 0 (Cromwell) and then use Eurasia etc?

gjm is right.  Do you have a 1.6 by any chance?  Cause Bank 1 (flashbios) won't work on most 1.6's but will work on 1.6B's.  Bank 0 (Cromwell) won't work on most 1.6B's but will work on 1.6's.  That is why they have included both.  So you just use what works for you and then flash the other bank with something else that works... so you have 2 working banks.

Easy, you boot with bank 1, run whatever reflash disc, and just before you actually pick to flash the bios with whatever, you flip the switch to bank 0 and flash it.

I always make it a point to keep flashbios and flash over cromwell personally. that way when my 1.6  needs reflashed I got a good point to start over from.

Thanks for the info guys...

However, I almost F***ed up the modchip.  ohmy.gif  I was doing what you said, just before it starts to flash on the working bank, select the other non-working bank, but I waited tooo much and I erased the one that was working.  

Luckily, I had another Duox2 modchip, but this time I decided to go with hackthexbox cd ( I hotswapped the modchip just before selecting yes on bios screen) and it worked perfectly......weeeeeeuhh.... biggrin.gif
