Title: Duox 2 On 1.6
Post by: Mattyb2001uk on February 01, 2005, 01:18:00 PM
I have just installed a DuoX 2 White version in a Crystal.  When I turn the xbox on the red light on the chip flashes, Green light on the front stays on but I get no picture.  It works fine with the chip disabled.  Any Ideas?

i know its a stupid suggestion , but you do have it switched to bank 1 for v1.6(im assuming the white cromwell edition is the same as the blue one with 2 banks)? , other than that recheck your lpc wiring , altho it sounds like it could be a cromwell incompatibility with your 1.6 but i really aint sure

also im sure i read thatsome people have probs with a/v leads other than the one you get with xbox , again not 100% sure tho

**edit** oops sorry just done some reading on the white duox , i was wrong , it dont matter what bank you use , sorry i would still try bank 1 tho

Yeah its on bank 1.  You cand hear the DVD power up and HDD, just nothing on the screen.  I have a version 1.2 with a DuoX White 2.  Should I flash that with the M8 bios then try that in the 1.6.  I redone the LPC wiring again aswell.

Ain't got a camera.  Does the thickness of the wire matter?

i dunno if the thickness of the wire would matter , all the guides tell ya to keep all wires as short as possible , and not to cross any over each other(so i spose the thickness of them may matter???) , what size wire did you use , it cant have been that thick lol

I had flashed it with a bad M8+.  I spoke to a friend and he said reflash it in my old xbox with a different download of the M8+.  So i did it and it worked!
