In all fairness cravar, i spent qutie a bit of time helping this fellow, "diagnose" his problem, the problem is easily fixable, and I am positive he can fix this easilly himself, he needs either to 1. fix it or 2. quit asking the same frickin question. It has nothing to do with helping a noob or anything, just want people to listen when you actuallt attempt to help them do things the right way........................

Sounds like your missing the 5v pin or it's not making good contact. Solderless or pinheader install??

If Pinheader you should only remove 1 pin, the guide on easybuy2000 says to take two pins out and get the 5v from somewhere else when you don't need to.

. . . . . .
. . . . - .     <---- thats what it should look like. (topview) ( - = no pin )
___^
(The 4th pin on the bottom from the left is the 5v pin)

If your using the solderless method I would try cleaning the points with rubbing alcohol, if you have the rivets try seating them inside and then try it out.If that doesn't work try bending the 5v pin (shown above) slightly outward to make better contact (be very careful adapter pins break very easily). I personally would recommend the pinheader method the solderless adapters aren't very good.

I assume you have an xbox 1.0 - 1.5 since the the adapter does not work on the v1.6.

If all of that does not work, I'm outta ideas and someone else might be able to help you out.

They guide telsl to remove pin #6 ( 5V ) for 1.6 boxes only, they use same pin header install as chameleon
