Your chip probebly come lose (Check D0 or solderless adapter), also your video cable is probebly f*cked, buy a new one.

Did you lock the new hard drive?
-
I locked the hard drive using the option within slayer auto installer and also config magic. When I try to boot the orignal ms bios/dash i get the red/green flashing lights on the led.
This error started to occur after I flashed my modchip bios with the slayer x-chip bios. I tried flashing back to bios before the slayer but still the same result. Could I have somehow messed up the TSOP?

If you have a Xbox version 1 you need to change the retail xbox button from default eject button in xcontrol to another button, otherwise xbxo will frag.
Since you are getting service message it could also be dashboard corruption issue, what is exact service code number.
BTW what is the Slayers X-Chip Bios?

i just thoghted id say..
my buddy curt had the same problem as u with the flickering screen/somewhat freezin. anyway all he did was reflash the chip with teh bios. and started off fresh.
that solved eveythin . it might not fix yours but it worked for us..him..
hope this helps

Slayers makes an X-chip specific BIOS. I will try to change the eject button, but the error I get is from selecting the MS bios form the bios selection menu.
-
Ultra why not use the official Evox 1.1, as slayesr would be unofficial and could present bugs/issues not related to xchip itself.
-
Thanks for the advice. I am using the evox 1.1 bios, actually after I had upgraded to this bios my problems started occurring.
I was confused b/w slayers and evox...I am using an evox 1.1 bios and the slayers dashboard.
Please help.

Slayers is actually Evoltion X dashbaord.
No need to feel confused.
As Bios ( Evox 1.1 in this case ) is software on Modchip
Dashboard is a interface to software on harddrive ( in your case Evolution X )
Slayers is a precompiled dashboard plus utilities for easy and quick setup.

The X-chip cannot write or modify your TSOP BIOS.
Make sure that the MS dashboard xbe file is named xboxdash.xbe, and that your harddisk is locked before attempting to boot the TSOP BIOS.
If it still doesn't work, maybe some of the files on your harddisk is missing or something.
