Okay.. I did exactly that - but when I "Write Changes", the File and X-Chip menus gray out so I that can't select them, but there is no indication that it's doing anything, like a progress bar, and the light on the chip is still off.
EDit: Here's a screencap of exactly what I see when it's supposed to be writing full.bin to the chip
Usually there is a percent display on the title bar, do you see that? I know when writing on mine it takes about 10 seconds or so to show up.
christineyoung.. thanks for all your help. I'll try another PC when I get the chance, but for now I just crossposted this problem on their help-forums.
edit: twisted.penguin, nope, there's no indication of progress - it just stays like the picture.
I've just quadruple-checked my d0 and pinheader install by plugging in my old (real) Chameleon and I can boot up to my hacked dash.. so it's not a soldering problem.
no chance you have a GAB X-Rom on PC, as i find drivers conflict with X-Chip.
Dont know if you have yet, but have you tried re-instaling the drivers for it?
Chip is not being read after uninstalling & reinstalling everything, nor is it being read on a fresh install on my other PC.
For now I'll just keep my Cham in my Xbox until my Xenium ICEs arrive I suppose :-\
PM me if you want to.
Thats all right.. I'll either wait until the help-forums staff can post a reply, or I'll sell it in BST as a defective unit.
giving up so soon?
O well, if you sell it, I've got first dibs on it
PM me or leave a price here.
Sent request for exchange.. thanks.
